AeroBook Wiki Scholarship Contest Rules

Official Rules

1. Contest Overview

AeroBook is hosting a Wiki Scholarship Contest for aerospace technical school students during the MRO Americas Conference. The goal of the contest is to help preserve and share aerospace maintenance knowledge by contributing high-quality content to the AeroBook Wiki.

The student who submits the most qualified Wiki entries during the contest period will receive a $500 scholarship to be used toward educational expenses.


2. Eligibility

To be eligible to participate, you must:

  • Be a currently enrolled student at an accredited aerospace technical school, aviation maintenance school, or related program

  • Create a free AeroBook account

  • Agree to these Official Rules

Not eligible:

  • AeroBook employees, contractors, or immediate family members


3. Contest Period

  • Contest Opens: First day of MRO Americas show floor opening – 9 AM EST on Tuesday April 21, 2026.

  • Contest Closes: 5 PM EST on Thursday April 30, 2026.

Only Wiki entries submitted during the contest period will count.


4. How to Enter

  1. Create a free AeroBook account

  2. Log in to the AeroBook Wiki

  3. Submit Wiki entries related to aerospace maintenance, parts, systems, processes, or terminology

  4. Ensure each entry meets the Qualified Entry Requirements below

There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.


5. Qualified Entry Requirements

To count toward the contest, each Wiki entry must meet all of the following criteria:

Content Standards

  • Must be written in complete sentences

  • Must provide meaningful, factual information

  • Must be relevant to aerospace maintenance, repair, overhaul, parts, or related systems

What Counts as an Entry

  • A new Wiki article

  • A substantial addition to an existing article that adds clear educational value

What Does Not Count

  • Single words or short phrases

  • Minor edits (grammar-only, spelling-only, punctuation-only)

  • Repetitive or low-effort submissions

  • Nonsense, filler, or promotional content

AeroBook reserves the right to disqualify entries that are deemed low quality, spam, or abusive.


6. Minimum Participation Requirement

To be eligible to win the scholarship, participants must submit a minimum of 10 qualified Wiki entries during the contest period.

Participants with fewer than 10 qualified entries will not be considered for the prize.


7. Winner Selection

  • The winner will be the eligible student with the highest number of qualified Wiki entries

  • Contributions will be tracked automatically via the Wiki Leaderboard

  • In the event of a tie, AeroBook will select the winner based on:

    • Overall content quality

    • Educational value

    • Breadth of topics covered

All determinations by AeroBook are final.


8. Prize Details

  • Prize: One (1) $500 scholarship

  • Use: Educational expenses only (tuition, books, tools, certifications, or related costs)

  • Payment: Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the winner after verification

The prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made.


9. Content Review & Moderation

  • All Wiki entries are subject to review for quality and accuracy

  • AeroBook may edit, moderate, or remove content at its discretion

  • Disqualified or removed entries will not count toward the leaderboard


10. Publicity

By participating, entrants agree that AeroBook may:

  • Display their name (first name + last initial), school, and leaderboard ranking

  • Share contest results and winner announcements on AeroBook’s website and social media

No additional compensation will be provided.

12. FAQ

Q: Can I edit the same Wiki page multiple times?

Yes, but only substantial, meaningful additions count as qualified entries.

Q: Can I submit content before the conference?

Yes, but only entries submitted during the official contest period (4/21-4/30) count.

Q: Can instructors or schools submit on behalf of students?

No. Each student must create and use their own AeroBook account.

Q: How do I know if my entry counts?

The Wiki Leaderboard reflects only qualified entries. AeroBook may remove entries that do not meet requirements.

Q: Will I receive tax forms for the scholarship?

No, the scholarship amount is limited to $500 which does not require tax reporting; recipients are responsible for their own tax obligations.
