The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) is a research and development organization within the U.S. Army that focuses on advancing aviation and aerospace technologies. The primary goal of AATD is to improve the capabilities and effectiveness of U.S. Army aviation systems, as well as to explore new technologies and concepts that can be applied to future Army aviation platforms.
