Fokker 50/60

The Fokker 50 and Fokker 60 are twin-turboprop regional aircraft developed by Fokker Aircraft in the Netherlands. Based on the successful Fokker F27 Friendship, the Fokker 50 was introduced in the 1980s as a modernized regional airliner with upgraded engines, avionics, and cabin features. It was designed to compete with newer turboprops like the ATR 42 and Dash 8.

The Fokker 60 is a stretched military/cargo derivative of the Fokker 50, designed with a longer fuselage and a large cargo door for transporting equipment, personnel, or vehicles. Only a handful were produced, primarily for military service.
